How do I know if I can wear Contex Aspheric lenses?
Most likely you can wear the Contex Aspheric lens. Over 70% of visual conditions can be corrected with a gas permeable contact lens. Whether you're nearsighted, farsighted, or presbyopic, you can most likely benefit from the Contex Aspheric lens. If you are just noticing that yo are having difficulty reading then the Contex Aspheric lens may be for you. If you require a bifocal add power over +1.50 or other type of specialty lens then you may need another Contex lens design.

Are Contex Aspheric lenses comfortable?
Advances in contact lens manufacturing allow the Contex Aspheric lens to be almost as comfortable as soft lenses. Actually over time they are healthier for your eyes. They also won’t give you that dried out feeling towards the end of the day that many soft lenses can.

Can I wear Contex Aspheric lenses while playing sports?
Many sports vision doctors agree that contact lenses are the best vision correction option for athletes. They can enhance visual skills like depth perception, peripheral awareness, and eye-hand coordination. Unlike glasses, Contex Aspheric lenses offer athletes a competitive advantage because they stay in place under dynamic conditions, provide a wider vision field, and eliminate the risk of glasses-related injuries. Orthokeratology is a method that may eliminate the need to wear glasses or contacts during sports.

Will Contex Aspheric lenses slow or control my nearsightedness?
There is no solid proof, but many contact lens specialists agree that lenses like the Contex Aspheric may slow the progression of myopia (nearsightedness).

Can I wear Contex Aspheric lenses if I have astigmatism?
Yes. But it depends on the amount and type of astigmatism you have. If you have a high amount of corneal astigmatism or an undesired amount of residual astigmatism, then you may need a Contex Aspheric Toric lens to correct your vision. Your eyecare professional will determine the type of lens you need.

Are Contex Aspheric lenses hard to clean?
Contex Aspheric lenses only require daily cleaning and disinfecting, which is done at night while the lenses are not being worn.

How much do Contex Aspheric lenses cost?
The cost of lenses can vary greatly from practitioner to practitioner. However, a lens like the Contex Aspheric is not your everyday GP lens. Most GP manufacturers start with a square edge that they roll-and-roll until it is round. Contex machines the edge using a natural diamond stone. This process allows us to produce the perfect edge every time. The superior comfort, optics, quality, and durability provided by the Contex Aspheric lens are also a result of a superior manufacturing process. Contex Aspheric lenses are more expensive initially, but they can last for years and are less expensive to care for than most soft lenses.

Can I sleep in Contex Aspheric lenses?
It depends on your tear film, general eye health, and other factors, but never sleep in the lenses unless your eyecare practitioner recommends it.

How do I know if my Eyecare professional prescribed Contex lenses?
You must insist on Contex Aspheric lenses if you want the best. If your eye care professional does not use Contex lenses we can assist them with the fitting if necessary
